Christ was born today because of God the Father’s great love for us just as the bible says it in John 3:16- “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Love beyond comprehension is what moved the heart of the Father to send His only Son down to earth for you and me. I hope you’ve had a moment to reflect on that great love today and don’t forget to bask in it as well.

The homily this past Sunday laid a lot of emphasis on the fact that Jesus, our Lord and King was born in Bethlehem in Judah.

Bethlehem was not a respectable city and was considered to be least among the towns in Judah. But when Christ came and was born there, the story changed. The city that was insignificant became significant. A place no one cared about was now on the lips of everyone.

And this is what Jesus Christ does when He comes into a place. He changes everything. He makes places of scarcity become places of abundance. He makes places of sorrow become places of joy. He gives beauty for ashes. He turns wailing into rejoicing.

Now, depending on the time zone you’re reading from, Christmas might just be getting started or you may be rounding up the day. I hope today has been a day of deep peace for you. The peace which our Messiah, the Prince of peace, came to give us is what I pray you. In the midst of your little or plenty, I hope that you do not forget that Christmas is really about the fact that our Saviour was born in a manger for our salvation.

The fact that Jesus was born as a child and had to grow up to become a Man, beginning His ministry when He was 30 years old, is also something that should remind us that God does things is His own way and time. Nature itself and Christ’s birth today teach us that God is always working even when it doesn’t seem like it and He is always on time.

So, if you’re waiting on the Lord for something, I encourage you today as we celebrate Christmas to keep the faith! God is aligning things in your favor and before you know it, the verses below will be your story:

“Yes indeed, it won’t be long now. Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel: They’ll rebuild their ruined cities. They’ll plant vineyards and drink good wine. They’ll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables. And I’ll plant them, plant them on their own land. They’ll never again be uprooted from the land I’ve given them. God, your God, says so.” -Amos‬ ‭9‬:‭13‬-‭15‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Don’t forget that when you have Christ, you have everything.
