This has been a stressful week. I put out blog posts on Tuesdays but the week has gone by in a blur and today is Thursday. Every day, life throws different things at us and on many days, life is hard rather than easy.
So I’m here today writing because I cannot rely on motivation alone, discipline is key. And this reminds me of something I read recently:
“EVERYONE MUST CHOOSE ONE OF TWO PAINS:
THE PAIN OF DISCIPLINE OR THE PAIN OF REGRET.”
The day I read this, I was instantly convicted. Stormie Omartian says often that, “Every time we give up doing what we have to do for what we feel like doing, there’s always a price to pay”. From experience, the price is always bitter.
Sometimes though, being disciplined is the last thing we want to be. We would all rather stay in bed all day and not do the things we have to do.
So today, I’m praying discipline for me and you. May discipline be the pain we choose so we can live without regrets.
Someone also reminded me this week to look at all the things I’m doing right and to look at the progress I’ve made in some areas of my life this year. So often, we speak much more about the things that are going wrong in our lives or the things we think we’ve done wrong, rather than the things that are going right or we think we’re doing right.
Take a minute today to just reflect on how far you’ve come in the past week, month and year. And don’t play it small when something comes to mind as you reflect. Allow the accomplishment you consider little and maybe insignificant to become a big deal. And maybe get yourself something nice to celebrate. You’re doing so well and I celebrate you today. I celebrate me too😂.
And the next time you’re talking to someone, instead of starting with the things that you’re not happy with, start with the ones you’re happy with. We’ll keep pushing and trusting in God. All things are working for our good.
Also, this year is almost over. The months are going by so quickly. If you planned to start something new this year and you haven’t, this is a kind reminder to start. If you can’t run, walk and if you can’t walk, crawl; Just make sure you keep moving.
Lastly, shout out to O.K, who saw me earlier today and asked why she hadn’t received her newsletter for the week. I’m also here writing this because of her.
God is with us and for us.
Rooting for you always✨✨🤍🤍.
💡Bible verses:
•“Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.” -Psalms 16:5, 8
•“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” -1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV
🖋️Quote of the week:
Everyone must choose one of two pains:
The pain of discipline or the pain of regret.

Sometimes when we achieve one of our goals, instead of taking a moment to thank God and appreciate ourselves for that, we move on to the next goal to achieve without reflecting on our journey. It’s very important to celebrate ourselves.
Thank you!
I love reading your work, it makes me happy. It reminds me that i am not alone and that God sees me. Thank you my love. Bless O.K cause, I was about to go to your room and demand my newsletter. Your letters are part of the joys in my week.
